Make a Difference as our Procurement Specialist/Buyer – Help Companies Reduce Food Waste! 
 
Are you an analytical thinker, strong negotiator, and motivated by sustainability? Do you want to shape the grocery industry while making an impact on reducing food waste? 
 
As part of our Procurement team, you’ll take ownership of supplier relationships, drive purchasing decisions, and ensure we keep an attractive product selection while helping our suppliers. 

What you'll be doing?

  • Source products and negotiatewith dozens of supplierswith the aimto improveour selection.
  • Partner with suppliers to strengthen collaborations, scale our impact, and continuously improve our service.
  • Make smart purchasing and pricing decisions driven by data and our in-house tools.
  • Collaborate closelywith other stakeholders such as Marketing or our external warehouse partner.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of our tools and processes.

What we are looking for?

  • Up to 2 years of working experience from procurement, sales, account management or  a similar commercial type of roleYou carry strong interest in the grocery and FMCG industryIdeally you are passionate about reducing food waste.
  • Commercial drive:you bring enthusiasm for building strong supplier relationships.You are a problem solver with the ability to identify and tackle risks and opportunities.
  • Data-driven mindset: you enjoy working with data, turning insights into smart purchasing and pricing decisions, and have strong spreadsheet capabilities.
  • Negotiation skills:  seal the deal, while building and maintaining long-term supplier partnerships.
  • Collaboration skills:  strong team player who enjoys working cross-functionally.
  • Digital skills:know your way around Microsoft Excel.
  • Education:  higher education degree in a technical, commercial, or similar field (other relevant qualifications also considered).
  • Language skills: preferably fluent in Dutch, with strong written and spoken English skills (our internal company language).
